Tune Therapeautics

In 2023, SuperCollider and Tune Therapeautics tapped me with an enormous task. To create a soundtrack that would serve as a metaphor for epigenetics.

To first understand how this was executed, we should first take a quick look at what epigenetics actually is. In your body, every cell shares the same DNA. However, what compels one cell to become say, a nerve cell, or another cell to become a heart muscle cell, or a liver cell, is your epigenome. The epigenome takes your over 20,000 genes and arranges in them in such a way that they become the different types of cells that each perform a different function in your body.

Now, what does this possibly have to do with music? Well in Western music, we have 12 notes that we create just about any form of music we enjoy - from jazz, to pop, to country, to soul.
